REC TwinPeak 5 Black Series:
The Choice for Solar Excellence

REC TwinPeak

Black Series Solar Panels

REC has been manufacturing the TwinPeak series since 2014. The initial iteration boasted a maximum capacity of 275W, making it a robust panel for its time. Subsequently, the second generation, launched three years later, increased the capacity to 320W. The third generation, released in 2020, reached an impressive 340W capacity. The fourth generation increased the capacity to 375W.

Introducing the

REC TwinPeak 5 Black Series

The REC TwinPeak 5 solar panel is the fifth generation of the REC TwinPeak module series. The fifth generation has a capacity of 415W. The REC TwinPeak 5 solar panel uses n-type monocrystalline technology to offer advanced energy solutions.

Advantages of Choosing Black Solar Panels

Advantages of Choosing Black Solar Panels

Black solar panels are sleek and modern. Black solar panels are a discreet energy solution, they can blend seamlessly with various roof types and architectural styles. Black solar panels absorb more sunlight and heat compared to blue solar panels. This potentially can contribute to a higher energy production.

Installation and Compatibility of

REC TwinPeak 5 Black Panels

REC TwinPeak 5 Black panels are compatible with most optimisers, inverters, and microinverters.

The brackets and rail are installed on the roof. Next the panels are fitted, held in place on the rail by panel clamps secured to the brackets. End clamps are used to secure the outermost panels on each row. The panels are prewired.

Zip ties hold the cabling. Each panel is individually earthed and connections are painted to prevent corrosion. There are two DC cables for the positive and the negative and an earth cable. These cables are run through the roof. The cabling may pass through the inside of the roof, the cables are clipped.

A 25mm or 35mm hole is drilled to pass cabling through the roof. A sleeve of corrugated conduit is placed over the cables. The corrugated conduit is 25mm or 35mm. It is sealed into place with silicon around the edges of the entry point into the roof. This is to prevent water getting into the roof.

Long-Term Durability and Reliability

REC TwinPeak 5 Black series panels can withstand extreme weather conditions, including hail, high winds, and heavy snow. They are also resistant to corrosion and degradation, typically lasting 25 years or more. Out of 4 million panels manufactured by REC each year, only 400 come back as product warranty claims.

Warranty and Support for REC Products

REC Solar panels come with a standard product warranty of 20 years, but if the installer is REC approved it increases to 25 years. REC Solar offers excellent support services for warranty claims, technical questions, etc. REC Solar has offices in Singapore, Germany, USA, India, Australia, Japan, and Thailand.

Faqs

We got answers to your Questions

Black solar panels can absorb more sunlight and convert it into electricity more efficiently compared to other colours. Black surfaces absorb a wide spectrum of light, including visible and infrared light, used in solar panels to generate electricity.

Durability and reliability are key in a solar panel.

REC Black solar panels are known for their high efficiency and durability, making them suitable for a wide range of climates.

REC Solar panels are made to withstand a broad range of weather conditions, from harsh heatwaves, to torrential rain, to powerful winds.

Check for shading issues prior to installation. Inspect panels for any signs of damage, such as cracks, hot spots, or discolouration. Monitor the performance of your solar panels with consumption monitoring. Consider investing in a microinverter or optimiser based solar system to catch faults at the individual panel level.
